Thanks to the generosity of our local farmer/partner, the annual SLV School Pumpkin Patch allows students throughout the San Luis Valley to pick out their very own pumpkin on a working crop circle! The pumpkin patch is open for students participating with their schools, and not for individual use. If your preschool or K-5 school is interested in visiting "The Patch," please contact RGWCEI by calling 719.480.4864 or emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Parents are welcome to participate with their child, but taking extra pumpkins will NOT be allowed. Let's let all our Valley kids have a chance to pick out a special pumpkin!

The Pumpkin Patch is open to school groups only during the week of September 30-Oct. 4, 2019. Other community groups are welcome to come the week after when it is open during daylight hours only.

We want your students to get the full experience of a working farm and why growing food requires healthy soil and the right conditions to produce crops. You are welcome to use any of the following grade-appropriate learning activities for before, during, and after your trip to the Pumpkin Patch!
