Whether you are a farmer, teacher, sandhill crane or student, water is an essential part of life. Not only does water make life possible in the San Luis Valley, but it makes life enjoyable! Each year we and our partners host Water Fest on the Rio to celebrate water and the many things it provides. Hands-on activities and lessons are led by local experts and include water quality testing, water games, insect investigations, kayaking the Rio Grande and more!

2021 Water Fest

While we anticipate having an in-person Water Fest in May 2021, there are still unknowns regards to COVID-19. We will continue to follow the advice of local and state public health offices to keep everyone safe . A decision will be made by Feb 15th on whether or not to proceed with planning or to cancel. Please contact us to receive on-going updates.
